MiMa Studio believes in an architecture that combines mind and matter. Our intention is to create projects that engage our imagination and thought, while simultaneously caring for our physical surroundings and material resources. We believe that this combination encourages a poetic sustainability, and we’re committed to the exploration of an architecture based on presence, reflection and exchange.

The studio, based in Copenhagen, works with projects on all scales - from first conceptual ideas to final realisation. Process is key in all of our projects, and our approach is always based on contextual thinking, participation and dialogue.

MiMa Studio was founded in 2021 by architect Hedvig Skjerdingstad. Hedvig graduated from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture in 2014, and has since practised as a teacher at Bergen School of Architecture and worked at architectural offices in Copenhagen. Her previous works also include multidisciplinary projects that combine architecture, art and writing.
